Unity Tutorial 01

  Today was my first experience with making a Unity game. I found it rather easy with help from the Unity guides I was using due to the fact that there were both video guides and step by step written guides underneath. First I opened and configured my Unity settings that were required for the set up of the game. Then I downloaded the assets required to build the game. When I had the assets and placed them down, I had finished step 1.1

After this, I started step 1.2. This step was adding a script to make the game run. First I added a script to the vehicle to make it move.

Lastly was step 1.3. I finalized making this short game by making the vehicle faster, adding a player tint and having the camera follow the vehicle down the road.

My thoughts on this Unity tutorial is that it was very fun to make. As things were easy enough to understand and fun to follow along with. Doing this Unity tutorial makes me feel like I really understood how to make a game, even though I'm just starting out and I found that I'm very excited to be learning more and more about game design. I hope that this could be a future career prospect for myself.
