Time Strategies:
How I can better manage my time schedule for Multimedia Development
I think the best way I can manage my time better is to always be doing work. A post on the site "Lifehacker" titled "The Important Habit of Just Starting" advises
"Procrastination isn’t just simply us putting off things until a later date. It’s purposefully putting aside important work knowing there will be negative consequences in the future."
I feel like this is very true when it comes to myself. Procrastinating will get you nowhere fast. For me, if I have a moment where I feel bored or feel like I don't want to do work, I just won't and that's the habit I need to curb.
If I have time to spare I should just work, even if I don't feel like it, that way when I get started I'll find that I get really into it and as time goes by I won't have just wasted my time on doing nothing useful but instead, I'll have gotten what needs to be done and maybe with time to spare later for doing nothing.
I can also manage my breaks better, taking time off my laptop to chill out and maybe read for half an hour or an hour, this way my eyes aren't being strained by the screen.
I feel like my best friend this year is going to be my to-do list.
With so many deadlines piling up having a physical list of all the work that needs doing and when they're due will be a great help. I can also use the S.M.A.R.T goals.
S:pecific
M:easurable
A:ttainable
R:ealistic
T:ime-bound
These goals featured in the post "How Checklists Train Your Brain To Be More Productive And Goal-Oriented" by Lauren Marchese will help me to be on top of my assignments and my schedule.
